In the Bay St. Louis of my youth, the neighborhoods were quiet and comforting. The town had a cool laid back vibe. It was much smaller back then.
I traveled from Morgan City, Louisiana to Bay St. Louis monthly growing up. I spent many summers there with my grandparents, Theodore and Mae Tudury. They had a house on Main Street and owned numerous rental properties. I remember riding my bike by Ladner’s Seafood’s back door and picking up any shrimp scraps on the floor for bait. I would then pedal to the Bay beach and wade fish for speckled trout. Make a quick catch, clean and give it to my Grandmother to cook. It was heaven on earth. Then I had many chores to do daily which taught me sound work ethics, it was a simpler time.
I have spent several years around the islands enjoying this wonderful water paradise.
Marine Protocol supports charters out of Gulfport Harbor and sometimes out of Bay St. Louis Harbor.
